Evaluation of professional competencies for teachers of students with intellectual disabilities in Asire in light of national professional standards for teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the extent of the availability and importance of teachers' professional competence of students with intellectual disabilities in the light of national professional standards. And find out how different the level of availability and importance of professional competencies in different: sex (Male, Female), and the number of years of experience, the educational nature of the place being (Educational Institute of thought, school integration).
The sample study is (296) teachers working in institutes and an intellectual breeding program attached to ordinary schools..
Researcher prepared a measure of professional competence in the form of a questionnaire consisting of (12) dimension has been adapted from the National Professional Standards, Saudi Arabia and formulated in an appropriate manner. Then two models have been prepared, one dedicated to the arbitrators, and the other for the purposes of the study sample application. And multiple use of One Sample T-test  and One Way ANOVA statistical method to access the results of the study. The results of the study showed that overall professional skills are available, and the most accessible work effectively with others and develop productive relationships with parents and the community, and the least accessible knowledge in ways General teaching methods, while the rest of the skills.All evaluations of research sample of how important professional skills was in its entirety. As it turns out, the lack of differences between males and females in the professional skills assessment. And the lack of differences between years of experience and type of place.
