Abstract
The importance of this research comes from the importance of the subject that discusses it , as it will be clear in the following points : Digital school map can provide us with Quantitive and qualitive data ,we can use in a future development plans. school map considers an important pillar in “ The Economics of Education “and it contribute to evaluate of future plans on scientific methodological and economic basis without waste resulting from urban expansion errors of schools. Overcoming some educational problems related to the increasing number of students , a few numbers for some specialized ,distribution of teachers to schools ,in different regions of
the state , also include expansions in construction and reconstruction of the state .
It is an ambitious and modern project ,it can serve Educators , Planners ,Citizens , and Students .
Aims of the Research:
The research aims at showing the role of digital school map as an educational planning device, also shown the main factors in its preparation.
Research problem:
What is the importance of planning in the educational process? What is the role of geographic information system (GIS) in educational planning? What is the importance of digital school map project? What are the motives for adapting the digital school map idea? What are the main objectives of the digital school map project? What are the main factors in digital school map preparation? What are the stages of school map preparation?
Methodology of the research: Chapters of the study:
The first Chapter :
“What is planning? And what is educational planning? “
The second Chapter:
“What are Geographic Information systems or (GIS)?”
The third Chapter:
“The school map”
The Research Results :
The researcher reached that The Digital school map has its effective role in facilitate the planning process and in recognize the Educational process, and it also provides data which can be used in several fields in the state. So it can show the integrative role of all State Institutions.
The research Recommendations:
The researcher sees the need to pay attention to The Digital school map project which can provide detailed valuable information represented in data, description of the learning process, and in diagnosis of the existing educational situation in Kuwait.
