Abstract

This study amid was to identify the competence level of pre-service teachers of students with visual impairments in college of education at King Khalid of the scientific concepts, skills of teaching science for students with visual impairments in elementery schools, and thier attitudes toward science. The instruments were prepared to verify the purpose of the study by using the test of scientific concepts included in the science curricula in elementary schools, observation card of science skills, and the scale of the attitudes toward science. The study sample consisted of 26 pre-service teachers of students with visual impairments in college of education at King Khalid University. The results were processed statistically using (t) test, percentages, and arithmetic mean. The results also showed a low level of competence among the participants in the scientific concepts, skills of teaching science for students with visual impairments in elementery schools, and thier attitudes toward science.
