A Suggested proposal to raise the quality of assessment and diagnosis processes in learning disabilities programs

Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal the level of application of learning disabilities teachers to the rules and principles of assessment and diagnosis stipulated in the organizational rules regarding information collection and its sources, the mechanism for applying the measurement and diagnosis process, and determining eligibility for learning disabilities programs. The research also aimed this research to present a proposed vision to raise the quality of evaluation and diagnosis processes in learning disabilities programs and measure the extent of its contribution to achieving what was built for it. The questionnaire was used to collect data by (83) of learning disabilities teachers in Riyadh city, and the study concluded that the level of application of the research sample to the procedures included in the research was variable between medium and high. The proposed scenario consists of several measures, namely: activating research chairs, activating laws and legislations, providing formal and informal evaluation tools, training teachers, and raising their technical competencies, involving families, preparing teachers before service. Activating the multidisciplinary team, and the perception reviewed the most important obstacles that hinder its implementation and the reason for facing it.
