Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of an awareness- counseling program based on Qur'anic and Sunni in environmental security among Taif University students, for a sample of (23) students at the College of Computers and Information Systems, divided into (12 students, in experimental group - 11 students, in control group).The environmental security Scale was applied to them prepared by researchers in a prior application, then the awareness-counseling program based on  Qur'anic and Sunni was applied to the experimental group, with (2) informational sessions and (13) awareness-guidance sessions, each session lasting (90) minutes, at the rate of (3) sessions per week, then re-applying the environmental security Scale to the experimental group and control group. After five weeks, environmental security Scale were applied to experimental group only, results Showed there is statistically significant difference between the mean ranks scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test environmental security scale for experimental group, and there no significant difference Statistically between the mean ranks scores of the experimental group students in follow-up test in Environmental Security Scale.
