Level of job satisfaction among speech and language specialists in the Makkah Province

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the extent of job satisfaction among speech and language specialists in the Makkah region. The study sample consisted of (59) specialists. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed a tool consisting of (35) items distributed in four dimensions. The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences in favor of speech therapists due to the number of weekly working hours from (31-40) to the level of job satisfaction due to more years of experience, salaries, and benefits. The results also showed that there are statistically significant differences due to the place of work in favor of specialists working in hospitals on the total degree, and the dimensions of the nature of work, management and supervision versus workers in day care centers and speech centers. The results also showed statistically significant differences in the level of job satisfaction related to the type of work, as it showed that workers in the government sector have a higher level of job satisfaction on the dimensions of salary, benefits and management and supervision in exchange for specialists in the private sector.
