The current study aimed at identifying the most important features of adult education and the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this field, to reveal the most prominent features of the University of the Third Age, especially in Australia, and then try to come up with a proposed perception for the establishment of a third age university for Adult Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in light of benefiting from the experience of Australia. The descriptive and analytical approach was used. The study showed Several results, the most important are: despite the efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of adult education, these services and programs need diversity and development to meet the diverse needs of the elderly or retirees, the limited use of the results of research and studies related to the elderly, which leads to the emergence of many challenges, third-age universities are seen as one of the most successful educational institutions that provide an opportunity for adult education. It considers an alternative educational application for the elderly. At a time when universities of the third age have spread greatly, the Arab world still lacks this type of university. It is also clear that there are no specific conditions or binding considerations for enrollment and admission to third age universities such as regular universities. Rather, the admission requirements for third age universities are limited to the desire and the ability to learn for those who retire from work. In light of these results, the study concluded with some recommendations, including: the need to rebuild adult education structures in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve effectiveness,  establishing local councils for the care of the elderly, directing the different age groups in society to the needs of the elderly and helping them to satisfy them as they are an important sector of society .
