The effectiveness of atraining program on mindfulness in reducing cognitive load among secondary stage students

Abstract

The aim of the research is to discover the effectiveness of atraining program on mindfulness in reducing cognitive load among  secondary stage students.
The research sample consisted of (60) female students in the first grade of secondary school in the schools of Al-Luzi and Umm al-Mu'minin in the Damietta Educational Administration in Damietta Governorate, who obtained scores above average on the scale of cognitive load, and they were distributed into two groups, one of them experimental and consisting of (30) students and the other a control and consisting of ( 30) students.
The research tools consisted of a measure of cognitive load, and atraining program on mindfulness.
The research concluded:
1- There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.001) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-measurement on the scale of cognitive load as a whole and its various dimensions in favor of the control group.
2- There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.001) between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre and post measurements of the cognitive load scale as a whole and its various dimensions in favor of the pre-measurement.
