Abstract

The current study aims to identify the requirements for converting Egyptian universities into pioneer universities in light of reverse engineering and to uncover their obstacles from the viewpoint of the faculty members at the universities of Sohag and Damanhour.
The study relied on the descriptive approach in collecting data and information on the theoretical framework to understand these requirements, and it also contains an applied (field) aspect to determine the degree of its importance from the point of view of the faculty members at the two universities by designing a questionnaire to determine the requirements of converting Egyptian universities into pioneering universities in light of reverse engineering. And identifying the obstacles that prevent this from the viewpoint of the faculty members (professor - assistant professor - teacher) at the universities of Sohag and Damanhour in the Faculties of: Science - Pharmacy - Veterinary Medicine - Agriculture - Nursing.
Among the most important findings of the study: working on legislating laws that enable the use of reverse engineering in university education, training university faculty members to do so, and working on developing university laboratories and laboratories to fit with procedures for applying reverse engineering in the educational process to implement them and train students on them, and provide a university climate that supports Innovation, creativity and distinction, and the definition of the legal aspects of conducting pilot projects in the light of reverse engineering. Encouraging faculty members to include some aspects of reverse engineering in university courses, and establishing cooperation protocols to benefit from experts and consultants specialized in various industrial institutions to apply reverse engineering in inclusive education with the aim of localizing technology and transforming into productive universities, not consuming universities, through the university concluding cooperation agreements. To finance ideas that employ reverse engineering in entrepreneurial projects, and to overcome all obstacles facing this, including legislation and a lack of capabilities and expertise.
