A proposed Vision for The Requirements for Applying Hybrid Education in Egyptian Universities in Light of The Experiences of some Foreign Universities

Abstract

 In the light of what the world is witnessing of the repercussions of the Corona virus, it requires all universities to adapt and remedy these changes, including the application of hybrid education within university institutions all over the world, and Egyptian universities in particular, so The current research aimed mainly to present a proposed vision for the requirements of applying hybrid education in Egyptian universities, in line with the nature of Egyptian society, by making use of the experiences of some foreign universities in the field of applying hybrid education. The research concluded with several results, the most prominent of which are: the lack of effectiveness and efficiency of the hybrid education system in Egyptian universities. Due to the presence of several obstacles that prevented this from being achieved, the most prominent of which is: Weak technological infrastructure, insufficient qualification and training of faculty members, and a lack of awareness among students of their roles and responsibilities in light of hybrid education. The most important requirements for applying hybrid education in Egyptian universities were also reached, which are: administrative organizational requirements, requirements for faculty members, requirements for students, requirements for educational content and activities associated with hybrid education, and requirements for evaluation.
The nature of the current research required using the descriptive and analytical approach, and the research proceeded according to this approach in a set of steps that began with the general framework of the research, then set an intellectual framework for hybrid education in terms of the concept, and the differences between hybrid education and blended education, its features and success factors, and models of hybrid education, Strategies, and obstacles to its implementation, Then this was followed by presenting the most prominent features of hybrid education applications in some foreign universities, then presenting and analyzing the reality of the Egyptian efforts made towards the application of hybrid education and the obstacles to its application, and the research concluded by presenting a proposed analytical view of the requirements for the effective and distinctive application of hybrid education in Egyptian universities in light of the benefit from the intellectual framework of the study And the experiences of some foreign universities.
