Abstract

Summary of the Study
The present study aimed to identify the effect of a training program in family education based on the moral analysis approach for developing awareness of family bullying and family crisis management skills among newlyweds. It also sought to measure the correlation between awareness of family bullying and the ability to manage family crises among newlyweds who constituted the sample of the study. To achieve the objectives of the study, an inventory was developed that include the required skills for  housewives, especially newlyweds that enable them to manage family crises. A program in family education was designed that included selected topics and home economics sample lessons that were aimed for developing the dependent variables. Based on this, a framework was prepared for organizing the scientific content of the program in light of the criteria for the moral analysis approach to measure the effectiveness of the prepared program in developing the dependent variables.
The sample included 65 women (15 in the basic sample + 50 in the pilot phase) who were recently married. The study used some measurement tools prepared by the researcher, namely: 1- The scale of awareness of family bullying, 2- the scale of family crisis management skills. The named tools were applied to the sample before and after the experiment.
Data were processed using the statistical program SPSS ver.20 and the results showed the following:
1-        There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the scores of the newly married women, in the two “pre-post” applications of the scale of awareness of family bullying in favor of the post application.
2-        There are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the average scores of the newly married women in the two applications "pre-post" for the scale of family crisis management skills in sub-skills (goal setting - planning - implementation - monitoring and control - evaluation) each separately, and in the total score in favor of the post application.
3-        There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the newly married women in the post application as well as the follow up application of the scale of awareness of family bullying.
4-        There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of newlyweds in the post application nor the follow up application of the scale of family crisis management skills.
5-        There is a positive correlation between awareness of family bullying and the ability to manage family crises among newly married women.
In light of the results, a set of recommendations and suggested studies were presented.
