Abstract

Abstract:
            The current study aims at identifying the role of the secondary school in Menofia Governorate in enhancing the intellectual security among its students. The study focused on the conceptual framework for intellectual security and its importance in educational institutions. To achieve this, the researchers adopted the descriptive approach which is appropriate for the nature of this study. The Study sample consisted of (709) male and female students of secondary and technical secondary schools in Menofia Governorate. The researcher used a questionnaire as a tool to identify the reality of the secondary school role in enhancing the intellectual security among its students, which were divided into five areas: the role of the school teacher, the role of the school social and psychological worker, the role of the school principal, the role of the school curriculum and the role of the school extra-curricular activities. 
            The (SPSS) program used to analyze the data. By using this program, the researcher got frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviation and analysis of variance between two independent samples T-tests.
The results of the study showed that level of the secondary school role in enhancing the intellectual security among its students was low level in all areas of the study. It also showed that there were statistically significant differences in enhancing the intellectual security between public and special secondary school, in favor of public secondary school. It also showed that there were statistically significant differences in enhancing the intellectual security between public and technique secondary school, in favor of public secondary school. 
In the light of these results the researcher presented a lot of recommendations and suggestions that strengthen the role of the secondary school in enhancing the intellectual security among its students.
