Administrative bullying and its impact on the female work environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract

Abstract in English:
The study aimed to identify the forms of administrative bullying and the leadership style used in the women's work environment from the point of view of the faculty members and members of the administrative body at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University, and its reflection on the performance of female employees who are subjected to bullying, and then present proposals to reduce the phenomenon of administrative bullying, To achieve these goals, the descriptive survey curriculum and the questionnaire were used as a tool to collect data, and the questionnaire consisted of three axes, and the number of the study sample reached (31) faculty members and (49) members of the administrative body from Princess Noura University. The study reached a number of results, the most prominent of which are:

The presence of various forms of administrative bullying in the women's work environment, such as ignoring the motivation of distinguished female employees, not being keen on developing their skills and preventing them from joining training courses, and hunting for their mistakes, as some of the expressions of this axis obtained the highest average of (4.2) located in the range of averages Strongly agree with deviation Standard is between (1-1.1).
The vocabulary of the study sample strongly agrees on the existence of a leadership style that tends to be bullying in the female work environment, as some statements obtained the highest average calculation from (4.2-4.4) with a standard deviation between (0.9-0.8).
The vocabulary of the study sample strongly agrees on the negative reflection of the practice of administrative bullying on the performance of affected women in the working environment of women, such as functional paralysis, as some statements of this axis obtained an arithmetic mean of (4.2-4.6) and a standard deviation between. (0.8-1).

•  The study sample strongly affirmed (71.1%), and with a degree of agreement (23.7%), on eliminating favoritism at work and granting the female employee her full employment rights. The study sample strongly agreed (63.2%) to set clear policies against administrative bullying, encourage sound initiative, and support friendly relations between female employees, in addition to implementing training workshops that allow an exchange of views in a healthy environment.
