The academic productivity reality after Professorship for the members of the Faculties of Education in Egypt and how to activate it from their perspectives

Abstract

The research aimed to uncover the academic productivity reality after Professorship for the members of the Faculties of Education in Egypt, and to highlight the most important obstacles facing this productivity from the professors' perspectives. The researcher used the descriptive method through a questionnaire to achieve the research objectives, and applied it to a sample of (156) male and female professors in the Faculties of Education in (15) Egyptian universities in the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021. The research reached several results, the most important of which were: The responses of the sample members were low on the reality of productivity, medium on their obstacles, and high in their proposals, and productivity came in favor of males and the longest experience of professors, while there were no differences in the variable of occupying administrative positions. The researcher put forward a set of proposals that may contribute to activating the scientific productivity of professors.
