The problem of this research has been the need to determine the patterns and reasons of the crisis of educational institutions and how to face this crisis at the present time , and then the current research sought to answer the following main question : Are educational institutions in crisis in the contemporary time?, From this main question , the following sub-questions stemmed from: - What are the evidences and evidence for the existence of a crisis in educational institutions in the contemporary time? , What are the causes of this tension? How do educational institutions face this crisis at the present time, guided by contemporary educational visions in this field? . This research - with analytical and descriptive discussion - addressed the following main axes : First -Crisis in educational institutions ! Or educational institutions in crisis ! : Difficulties and challenges : Egyptian educational institutions suffer from many problems and challenges, the most important of which are issues of teacher training and professional development; teaching and learning methods based on indoctrination and preservation; curricula stacked with subjects that do not represent the skills of the twentieth century; In addition, students are stacked in classes in large numbers and , last but not least, problems associated with the evaluation : ( the student evaluation , the teacher evaluation , the school evaluation , and the education system as a whole) . Accordingly, it must be recognized that Egyptian educational institutions are still in crises . Educational leaders and teachers at educational institutions in need: reasons, or what . Second -On the question of the reasons why educational institutions are presently in crises , and : how near , or how far educational leaders and teachers are from these crises , evidence have been obtained about the absence of creativity in their professional performance , the lack of skills to manage school crises ably , the lack of a long - term planning system , and the manner in which they encourage innovation in educational institutions . Third - Contemporary educational visions in the face of crises at educational institutions in need :These contemporary visions have shown that educational leadership and teachers have an effective role to play in dealing with crises . Therefore, managers , supervisors and teachers should be trained on how to deal with crises , and plans and mechanisms should be developed to address them if its occur , while maintaining the strategic environmental analysis ( internal and external environment ) of the required educational institutions . Recommendations were then made on the need to activate the roles of educational leaders and teachers in the face of school crises .
