Abstract

The research aims to determine the effectiveness of a program in heritage education based on Learning Technology System Architecture (LTSA) to develop awareness of the sustainable development of our natural heritage among the student, the social studies teacher at Faculty of Education - Alexandria University. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the two approaches: description, and semi- Experimental one-group, and the research procedures began by reaching a theoretical framework to search for: (heritage education, natural heritage, its sustainability, and LTSA model) and then preparing the research tools, which are: the awareness scale in its three dimensions: (cognitive, behavioral, and emotional), and its application. On the research sample consisting of 66 teacher students in the fourth year of social studies, using arithmetic averages, percentages, t-test, and Eta square; several results of the research were reached, the most important of which were: (The proposed program in heritage education is based on LTSA model, effective in developing: awareness of the sustainable development of our natural heritage ) and then arriving at a set of   recommendations and proposed research.
