An Enrichment Program in Psychological Literacy to Develop Interpersonal Relationships and Global Identity of Psychology Student Teachers.

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of an enrichment program in psychological literacy to develop interpersonal relationships and global identity of psychology student teachers. to achieve the objectives of the research the researcher prepared a theoretical framework for the research variables (interpersonal relationships, global identity, and psychological literacy), and depedded on it in preparing the enrichment program in psychological literacy. which included (7) topics: psychological concepts and their applications, critical thinking in psychological issues, research methods in psychology,  life applications of psychology, ethics, the self and the other, and the recognition and respect of diversity. also prepared two scales: interpersonal relationships and global identity. for answering the research questions and verifying the validity of it,s hypotheses the researcher depended on the experimental design with pre and posttest for the two research tools. The program was applied to a sample of (40) male and female students of the fourth year- psychology department via zoom application. the results of the research  revealed  that there are statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of the two measures: the pre-and post in favor of posttest which indicates the effectiveness of an enrichment program in psychological literacy in developing both: interpersonal relationships and global identity.
