Abstract

the current study aimed to identifying the effectiveness Effect Metacognition Strategi To teach and learn Math Concepts of kindergarten children. The problem of the study has been conducted through determining the mathematical concepts to be teach and learn by the kindergarten child, preparing a set of proposed activities based on a metacognitive strategy, their number are (45) activity included (5) Metacognition strategies which are suitable for the kindergarten stage and the nature of the current study. The researcher prepared a test of mathematical concepts, Apply it before and after the proposed activities, The study used the quasi-experimental one- group approach, The sample of the study consisted of 30 male and female kindergarten children, The results of the study have shown the effectiveness of activities based on a metacognitive strategy in developing some mathematical concepts (Numbers and arithmetic-measurement- engineering and spatial sense) kindergarten children, In light of these results the researcher recommended to use Metacognition Strategi To teach and learn Math Concepts of kindergarten children,andmodify the content which is presented to the kindergarten children to be suitable to the strategies of Metacognition.
