The Psychological Future Skills and its Relationship to Community Partnership among a Sample of Student Teachers at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to identify the psychological future skills and community partnership in a trial to explore the role of these skills in community partnership, the relationship between them, and to identify the relative contribution degree of psychological future skills in community partnership. The study utilized the correlation descriptive research with a sample of 450 third- and fourth-year student teachers at the Faculty of Education for Boys (Cairo), Al-Azhar University. The instruments of the study included a scale of psychological future skills and a scale of community partnership designed by the researcher. Means, standard deviations, relative weights, factorial analysis and regression analysis were used to statistically analyse data. The results of the study revealed that participants of the study possess a high level of psychological future skills and community partnership. The results also revealed that there is a statistically significant correlation at (0.01) level between psychological future skills and community partnership among the study participants. In addition, the study referred that community partnership can be predicted with the knowledge of future psychological skills as the value of (P) of the significance of the prediction was a statistically significant value at (0.01) level which indicates the possibility of predicting community partnership. Moreover, social future skills are the most contributing skills in predicting community partnership among others followed by personal skills, intellectual skills, and emotional skills. Finally, the results revealed that community partnership has some effects and contributions on some psychological future skills.
