Quality of life and its relationship to psychological immunity among orphans in care homes in Damietta Governorate

Abstract

          This search aimed at examining the relationship between psychological immunity and quality of life among orphans in care homes in Damietta Governorate, as well as knowing the differences between orphans in care homes in all psychological immunity and quality of life according to the variable “chronological age” and the gender variable “male/female” and knowing the extent of the contribution of immunity. Psychology in predicting the quality of life of the research sample of orphans in care homes in Damietta Governorate, and to achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive, correlative, comparative approach. The research sample consisted of (43) orphans in care homes in Damietta for the year (2021-2022 AD), and the number of females reached (16) in the Girls’ Institution in Damietta, and the number of males reached (27) in the Boys’ Institution in Faraskour, and the number of age from Age 6-11 years (9) individuals, and age 12-21 years (34) individuals ,The researcher found that there is a statistically significant correlation between the quality of life and psychological immunity among orphans in care homes in Damietta Governorate, and there were differences between orphans (male/female) in care homes in all psychological immunity and quality of life, and there were differences between orphans in care homes in each Psychological immunity and quality of life are attributed to the chronological age variable. Psychological immunity also contributes to predicting the quality of life of the research sample members of orphans in care homes in Damietta Governorate.
