The university and the promotion of moral values in the era of the fourth industrial revolution Suggested vision

Abstract

Universities with all their past, present and functions are an educational institution that seeks to build values in all its moral, psychological, social, intellectual and behavioral fields. It is the educational institution that is responsible for promoting and consolidating the concepts of moral values in society.
Within any society, moral values are important; As they constitute the features on which thinking is built, and the various individual and group behaviors, and therefore any imbalance that affects moral values will inevitably reflect on the desired safety for individuals and the whole community.
The importance of moral values is greatly increased in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as in this revolution technology fundamentally affects all aspect of the human life, and although the technologies of this revolution provide extraordinary opportunities, it poses a number of ethical challenges related to technical, physical, psychological, social, economic and legal aspects, which are rooted in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and differ greatly from the issues rooted in the previous revolutions.
In light of that, this research aimed to illuminate the concept of moral values, their importance, their sources, the most important features of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and its implications for various fields, its ethical challenges, and its reflection on moral values, by providing a suggested vision to the university in order to enhance moral values in the age of Fourth Industrial Revolution.
