The Impact of Charitable Work on Reforming Self and Family.

Abstract

This research aimed to highlight the levels of self-reform for the individual, and to derive the good deeds affecting this reform from the verses of Qur’an, and then elicit the implications of individual’s self-reform, and to elicit the charitable deeds as factors of family reform, and to indicate the most important effects if the components for reform are available within the family. The descriptive approach was used, and several results were reached, including:
-Reforming religion is the first level to which the reformer's attention must be devoted.
-Among the good deeds that affect self-reform are: repentance, holding fast to God, devotion to Him, faith, piety, and forgiveness.
-The most effective act of goodness that leads to self-reform is Repentance.
-Among the effects of individual self-reform: God’s repentance for the servant, forgiveness for those correcting their condition, great reward from God, forgiveness and mercy, and the absence of fear and sadness.
-Among the most important components of family reform: qualifying for reform, the desire to reform, exerting one’s ability, asking success from God, trusting in Him, and following the path of reformers.
-Among the effects of having the factors of family reform are reconciliation between spouses, forgiveness and mercy, answering prayers, preserving offspring, and overlooking sins.
-The necessity of hastening the good deeds by all family members together because its goodness is the sum of their goodness.
