Analyzing and evaluating the Arabic language curriculum for the first preparatory grade in Arab schools in light of the national standards for curricula in Chad. (The Eighth District of N'Djamena as a model)

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the Arabic language curriculum for the first preparatory grade in the school of the capital, Ndjamena. It focused in particular on the objectives and content, as it touched on a number of aspects and elements related on the subject. The study tool was the questionnaire, which contained several axes and paragraphs that included many questions directed to the concerned teachers, who answered them in a transparent and comfortable way. Then the researcher analyzed the data and commented them to have the most important result such as : The Arabic language curriculum for this stage came in accordance with the national standards of the curricula used in Chad ; The methods used by teachers was varied ; The content helped a lot for achieving the educational goals as well as the evaluation methods. Finally, the researcher presented a number of recommendations to the Chadian authorities concerned with education in general and curricula in particular to take advantage of them and work according to them in order to develop curricula and improve the educational process.
