Abstract

The aim of the current research is to investigate the effectiveness of a program based on the cube strategy in teaching social studies to develop analytical thinking skills and enhance the values ​​of citizenship among third year middle school students. 30) students, and the other a control group, and it consisted of (30) students who were selected from the Abdel-Sabour El-Gabalawy Joint School of the Aswan Educational Administration. The descriptive approach and the semi-experimental approach were used. The problem of the current research was identified in the weakness of analytical thinking skills and citizenship values ​​among the third year preparatory students. And the researchers reached the results of: There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post application to test the analytical thinking skills as a whole, its dimensions, and the measure of citizenship values ​​in favor of the students of the experimental group. It is generally accepted for analytical thinking skills and citizenship values, and the impact of the strategy is generally high. They urged the need to use the strategy in teaching social studies, and to pay attention to the development of analytical thinking skills and the values ​​of citizenship among learners at different educational stages.
