The professional competencies of the teacher of the Holy Qur’an - Abdullah bin Masoud as a model

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the professional competencies of the teacher of the Noble Qur’an - Abdullah bin Masoud as a model. The descriptive analytical qualitative inductive method was used in the study to obtain the results. The results showed that there are seven main competencies related to the professional competence of the teacher of the Noble Qur’an, and that there are (95) sub-professional competencies distributed among the competencies. The main competencies are according to the following: Competencies of Education Administration (18) sub-competence, teaching competencies (32) sub-competence, assessment competencies (9) sub-competence, competencies for stimulating learning motivation (14) sub-competence, competencies taking into account individual differences when teaching (5) sub-competences Competencies for the scientific growth of the teacher (16) sub-competence, competencies for employing teaching aids (1) one competence only. Based on the results, groups of recommendations were recommended, including the use of the list of competencies that the study found to qualify the teachers of the Noble Qur’an with it, and the need to consider these professional competencies in the programs for preparing teachers of the Holy Qur’an.
