This study examined the level of digital Competence among Hail University students and the ways they depend on them to develop this Competence. The study sample consisted of 478 male and female students of all levels and specializations who responded to a questionnaire consisting of five areas: Information and data literacy, Communication and collaboration, Digital content creation, Safety, and Problem solving According to the European Framework for Digital Competencies, The data were analyzed statistically, the results indicated Students have lower levels of proficiency in digital content creation compared to other fields. The training courses ranked first in the methods that students adopt in developing their digital Competence, followed by the YouTube method and then the method of seeking help from colleagues. The students added other methods, including: the Internet, books, trial and error, university courses and faculty members, and asking specialists and experts, The study concluded with several recommendations.
