Requirements for Supporting Saudi Families in Facing the Challenges of the Digital Age from the Islamic Education Perspective

Abstract

    The aim of the research is to reveal the requirements for supporting Saudi families in facing the challenges of the digital age from the Islamic education perspective. The descriptive methodology was used to achieve this aim. The research relied on a questionnaire as a tool for data collection, which was applied to a sample of (220) faculty members, distributed according to gender (male/female), specialization (educational/religious), and academic degree (professor/ assistant professor/ associate professor). The results indicated that the agreement of the research sample members on the (cognitive, emotional, and skill) requirements was high. Moreover, the results revealed no statistically significant differences in the responses of the research sample members due to the gender variable, while statistically significant differences were found in their responses due to the specialization variable in favor of the educational specialization, and due to the academic degree variable in favor of the professorial degree.
