Subjective Vitality and its Relationship to Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy among postgraduate students at the Faculty of Education, Kafr Elsheikh University

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between Subjective Vitality and both of Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy, the possibility of predicting Subjective Vitality through students’ scores on Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy, and to detect the differences of Subjective Vitality, Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy among postgraduate students according to type (male and female) and study stage (Master and Doctoral), The research sample consisted of (154), their age ranged between (23-35) years, with an average of (26.14) years, and a standard deviation of (±2.56), they were (72 male and 82 female) and (86 in Master and 68 in Doctoral), The research tools were Academic Determination scale, Research Self-Efficacy scale (prepared by/ the researchers), and Subjective Vitality scale (prepared by/ El-Masry, 2020), The research results revealed that there is a positive statistically significant correlation between Subjective Vitality and both of Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy, the possibility of predicting Subjective Vitality through students’ scores on Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy, and there is no a statistically significant effect according to reaction between kind (males and females) and study stage (Master and Doctoral) on Subjective Vitality, Academic Determination and Research Self-Efficacy among postgraduate students.
