Abstract

The aim of the current research is to investigate the effectiveness of a program based on the circular debate strategy in teaching social studies to develop holistic thinking skills and mental motivation among middle school students. ) a student, and the other a female officer, and it consisted of (32) students who were selected from one of the schools affiliated with the Aswan Educational Administration, and the descriptive approach and the experimental approach were used, and the problem of the current research was identified in the weakness of holistic thinking skills and the dimensions of mental motivation among first-grade middle school students, and the researcher reached Results: There is a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the comprehensive thinking skills test, and the measure of mental motivation in favor of the students of the experimental group. For holistic thinking skills and dimensions of mental motivation, the researcher recommended the need to use the looping strategy in teaching social studies, and pay attention to the development of holistic thinking skills and dimensions of mental motivation among learners in different educational stages.
