The Effectiveness of Language Games Exercises in Developing the Verbal Crop of a sample of people with Language and Communication Disorders in Zalingei, Sudan.

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of language games in developing the verbal crop of people with language and communication disorders. The semi-experimental approach was followed. The study population consisted of students who suffer from language and communication disorders in the basic education stage in the city of Zalingei, in the state of Central Darfur, Sudan, in the year 2020-2021. A random sample of (30) male and female students, a training program was used to develop verbal crop, and a measure of verbal crop prepared by the researcher. The data was analyzed using the SPSS program, and the study reached several results, the most important of which are: There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05). ) between the mean of the verbal crop of the students in the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement, and there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean of the verbal crop of the male and female students in the post measurement, and the study also found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05). 0.05) between the average verbal output of the students due to the age variable and in favor of the older age. The study recommended several recommendations, including: the need to use language games in teaching language skills, especially in the primary education stage, and the need to provide training courses for speech therapists to train students in language skills and methods of developing them.
