The Role of the Secondary School in Developing Awareness of Information Security among its Students to meet Some Contemporary Technological Challenges - A Future Vision
Because the importance of awareness of information security in facing contemporary technological challenges; Therefore, all institutions of pre-university education in general and secondary school in particular sought continuous development and improvement by identifying the gap between all schools and societies, assessing students' information security awareness, identifying best practices, setting educational policies in the first place, as well as contributing to strengthening relationships. , and achieving interdependence between society, schools, and community service. From the foregoing, it can be said that the secondary school is responsible for the need to develop awareness of information security among its students, mainly in order to face all contemporary technological challenges, which have become an important obstacle to achieving their roles. Because teachers possess experiences, values, culture, and the ability to create and innovate, in addition to their societal position in order to find a specialized solution or create value, and transfer these experiences to those institutions and develop them on effective scientific bases. Therefore, educational institutions - in general and secondary schools in particular - do not differ much from each other in terms of possessing material and human capabilities, but they differ in terms of possessing the capabilities to meet the current technological challenges represented in developing awareness of information security among students. Hence, the methodological objective of this study could be to identify the reality of the secondary school's role in developing awareness of information security as a mechanism for facing contemporary technological challenges. As a result, awareness of information security is the important and influential element in achieving the efficiency of pre-university education institutions and their institutional excellence, as well as searching for the most important obstacles facing secondary schools when developing awareness of information security in particular, and then building a vision to develop them in the future as a mechanism for facing contemporary technological challenges in society.
