Feeling of Guilt as a mediator of the relationship between Psychological burnout and psychosomatic disorders for teachers

Abstract

Current research aimed to Identify the mediating role of guilt in explaining the relationship between burnout and psychosomatic disorders among teachers, to achieve this goal, research was conducted on (301) teachers working in (13) A school in Abu Hammad Center in Sharkia Governorate, with (146) primary school teachers (97 females, 49 males), (71) Preparatory school teachers (50 females, 21 males), (84) secondary school teachers (36 females, 48 males), their chronological ages between (25-59) years, with a chronological mean age (44), and a standard deviation (7,284). After applying measures of guilt and burnout for teachers (prepared by the researcher), Cornell list of psychosomatic disorders, results showed possibility of predicting guilt through the dimensions of psychological burnout for teachers, possibility of predicting disorders Psychosomatics through the dimensions of psychological burnout among teachers, possibility of predicting psychosomatic disorders through dimensions of guilt for teachers, There is a partial role of feeling guilt as a mediating variable between psychological burnout and psychosomatic disorders in teachers.
