Abstract

The current study aims to reveal the effectiveness of the strategies of Six Dimensions (PDEODE) and Gardens of Ideas in developing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem among student’s teachers of the Geography Division of the College for Girls. The study also aims to reveal which of the two strategies is more effective in developing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem Among these female students, the problem of the study was identified in the weakness of possessing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem among female students teachers of the Geography Division, so the current study attempts to address these weaknesses through the use of two modern teaching strategies that are compatible with geography topics and take into account the potential and capabilities of female students , The study sample consisted of two experimental groups and a control group of (90) students. The results of the study indicated the effectiveness of the six-dimensional strategies (PDEODE) and Idea Gardens in developing geographical research skills and academic self-esteem. Academic self-esteem on the six-dimensional strategy (PDEODE)
