Faculty Members' Perspective towards Implementing the LMD System (Bachelor, Master, Doctorate) in Egyptian Universities in Light of Some Countries Experiences

Abstract

In light of other countries experiences, the research tried to ascertain the perspectives of faculty members regarding the implementation of the (LMD) system in Egyptian universities. One of the most significant contemporary university systems that connects learning to the demands of the job market is the LMD system. It is a versatile system with the following features: mobility, readability, and transmission. Additionally, it emphasizes various methods of assessment and places the learner and student at the center of the educational process. The researcher outlined the study's problem, objectives, methodology, key definitions, and most significant previous research related to the current study. The literature was also presented by the researcher; it included an introduction to the LMD system, its main goals, related acts and regulations. The field study highlighted the faculty members’ perspectives towards implementing the LMD systemThe descriptive analytical method was adopted using a questionnaire for the process of information gathering. The questionnaire included fifty-six items in order to describe and analyze the phenomenon of the research. This questionnaire was then administered to a sample of 370 faculty members. Findings confirmed the objectives of the research and revealed the importance of the system in achieving improvement in higher education
