Abstract

The aim of the current research is to measure the effectiveness of a proposed program based on social-emotional learning in developing wisdom-based thinking skills and professional competence among non-pedagogical science and mathematics teachers and its impact on their students’ enjoyment of learning. To achieve this goal, the two researchers identified the foundations on which the proposed program is based, then built the proposed program and assessment tools for the research, which are: wisdom-based thinking skills scale, professional competence scale, and enjoyment in learning science and mathematics scale. The research depen on a one-group experimental design, where the research sample consisted of (36) science and mathematics teachers who are not pedagogical and working in schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education. then Field experimentation, ending with data monitoring and statistical processing, down to the research results, interpretation, and discussion. Conducting the results of the study showed the effectiveness of the proposed program based on social-emotional learning in developing wisdom-based thinking skills and professional competence among non-pedagogical science and mathematics teachers and its impact on their students’ enjoyment of learning.
