The research aimed to identify the conceptual framework of the green economy, reveal the reality of the role of Egyptian universities in achieving the green economy in light of sustainable development, and come up with a proposed vision to activate the role of the Egyptian university in achieving the green economy in light of sustainable development. The research used the descriptive approach and the research relied on a questionnaire. It was applied to a sample of university leaders and faculty members at the universities of (Alexandria - Ain Shams - and Sohag), and the number of sample members reached (350) from the original community. The research reached the following results: - The responses of the research sample to the field of teaching came at a high level, with an arithmetic mean of (3.71), and a standard deviation of (0.64), and for the expressions, they were all at a high level, as the arithmetic mean for the expressions ranged between (3.52), and ( 3.95), which indicates the convergence and agreement of the respondents' responses about the significant level of the role of university leaders in achieving the green economy in the field of teaching. -The responses of the research sample to the field of scientific research came at an average level, and obtained an arithmetic mean of (2.73), and for the expressions, they were all at an average level, as the arithmetic mean for the expressions ranged between (2.70) and (2.78). , which indicates the convergence and harmony of the respondents' responses about the average level of the role of university leaders in achieving the green economy, in light of the goals of sustainable development in Egypt in the field of scientific research.
