The relative contribution of psychological challenges in predicting ‎personal and academic growth among female students at Umm Al-‎Qura University

Abstract

Psychological challenges are one of the factors influencing the personal and academic development of Umm Al-Qura University female students. The study aimed to uncover challenging behaviors and the causes of psychological challenges that affect the personal and academic growth of Umm Al-Qura University students, on a sample of 230 female students whose ages ranged from 19 to 22 years.  The study used a psychological challenges scale prepared by the researcher. The scale consisted of 18 statements. The study also used an academic growth scale prepared by the researcher. The scale consisted of 15 statements measuring the extent of academic growth. The study also used a personal growth scale prepared by the researcher. The results of the study concluded that there was a positive relationship between...  Psychological challenges and personal and academic growth among female students at Umm Al-Qura University.  The results of the study found that there are different effects of psychological challenges on personal and academic growth.  Based on the theoretical framework, the results of previous studies, and the results of the current study, some recommendations and proposed research were presented. The study recommended the importance of providing psychological and emotional support, enhancing self-awareness and personal development, and enhancing communication and social cooperation among female students.
