Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the effect of PECS cards and their importance for autistic children. And to learn about the perceptions of those working in the field of PECS cards and their importance for autistic children, and to learn about the effectiveness of PECS cards in alleviating behavioral problems in autistic children. And to find out the extent of increasing communication through PIX cards among students with autism. The research sample was 50 male/female teachers of autism kindergartens and schools, and the gender was determined according to (male/female), age (less than 35, from 35 to 41, and older than 41), and academic qualification (diploma). University and postgraduate studies), years of service (less than five years, five to 10 years, and older than 10 years), and the workplace (autism kindergartens and autism schools). A descriptive approach was used, and the results were as follows: The research sample agreed on the importance of PEX cards for autistic children to a high degree. It is a successful way to communicate with autistic students. PIX cards improve communication and dealing with autistic students, increase their self-confidence, express their feelings, and use their words, but the degree of improvement varies from one child to another. PIX cards improve the behavior of an autistic child in social participation, activity, and vitality, and raise the skill of searching for Lost items work to reduce anger and nervousness. Teachers imagine that using PIX cards is a successful experience that requires continuity and participation of the family and the entire classroom staff. It also requires patience and attention to training teachers on using the cards by a specialized team because it raises the professionalism of working with autistic students and adds multiple stages to help. Autistic students. PIX cards increase the abilities of autistic children to express needs, produce words, understand the meaning of sentences, and transform single words into 3 simple and more complex sentences. There are differences in all variables of the study according to many personal characteristics, and the reasons for this must be studied.
