Abstract

This research aimed to build a program based on the literary anecdote approach, and measure its effectiveness in developing the linguistic wealth and gustatory reading skills of primary school students
The problem of this research was identified in the weakness of linguistic wealth and gustatory reading skills among primary school students, and the lack of programs based on modern approaches to developing these skills, such as the introduction to literary anecdotes.
To reach a solution to this problem, this research followed a set of steps, perhaps the most important of which are: building two lists; One is with standards and indicators of linguistic wealth, and the other is with gustatory reading skills appropriate for sixth-grade primary school students, defining the foundations for building the Literary Anecdotes Introduction Program, and defining its components represented in its objectives, content, teaching, activities, and media, and evaluating them, And measuring its effectiveness in developing the linguistic wealth and gustatory reading skills of sixth-grade primary school students by constructing and controlling linguistic wealth and gustatory reading tests, selecting two groups of sixth-grade primary students, applying the two tests to them beforehand, and then applying the proposed program based on the literary anecdote approach to this group. And apply the test to them later.
The research reached a set of results, perhaps the most important of which is: the effectiveness of the program based on the literary anecdotes approach in developing the linguistic wealth and gustatory reading skills of sixth-grade primary school students.
