Abstract

The study aimed to identify the teacher preparation system in Hong Kong and Finland, then conclude the similarities and differences between the teacher preparation systems in Hong Kong and Finland, and finally propose mechanisms for developing the teacher preparation system in light of these two experiences. The comparative descriptive approach was used. Specifically, George Bereday's introduction to comparative educational studies. The study found a set of mechanisms, including: the necessity of adopting strict criteria in selecting and selecting the best candidates to join teacher preparation institutions in light of scientific, pedagogical, and psychological standards, focusing on developing the research and digital skills of the student teacher, Encouraging him to develop his professional and academic skills on his own, through attending seminars, conferences, and scientific exchange with his peers to keep up with educational developments.
