Emotional intelligence among teachers in general education schools in Fayoum Governorate and its relationship to the dimensions of complexity leadership

Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal the correlation between the dimensions of emotional intelligence, which are (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills) among teachers and the dimensions of complexity leadership, which are (adaptive leadership, relationship leadership, situational leadership, and distributed leadership) among leaders in general secondary schools. In Fayoum Governorate, to achieve this goal, The research used the descriptive approach in the context of collecting data related to its subject. To reach its results, a theoretical framework on emotional intelligence and complexity leadership was presented from the perspective of contemporary administrative and educational thought literature, and the reality of general secondary education in Fayoum Governorate was revealed documentarily. To reveal the reality of the dimensions of emotional intelligence among teachers and the dimensions of leadership complexity among leaders of general secondary education schools in Fayoum Governorate from the point of view of teachers, the researcher designed a questionnaire to measure the variables of the study. The study population consisted of teachers in general secondary education schools in Fayoum Governorate From (1988). The study sample consisted of (484) male and female teachers. The results of the study showed a correlation between the dimensions of emotional intelligence and the dimensions of leadership complexity among teachers in schools. General secondary education in Fayoum Governorate, Teachers' appreciation of their emotional intelligence and the complexity of their leaders is affected by gender, while it is not affected by differences in qualification, specialization, and educational administration. and based on the results reached, a set of procedural proposals were presented.
