Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on digital Literacy in improving the competencies of applying  telepractice to provide rehabilitation services for speech disorders among students specializing in the Department of Language and Speech Disorders at the Faculty of Science for People with Special Needs, Beni Suef University. The sample consisted of (40) male and female students from the department of Disturbances  of language and Speech Disorders, they were divided into two groups, the first is an experimental group and the second is a control group, whose ages ranged between(20-22 years),with  age mean (20,95 years), and standard deviation (0,81 years). The study tools included a scale for employing telepractice competencies , and a training program based on digital Literacy. The results concluded that :There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group on Competency scale applying telepractice and its dimensions on a sample from students from the department of  Disturbances of language And Speech Disorders in the post-measurement, and there is  also a statistically significant difference between average ranks  of the experimental group’s scores on the scale of Competencies applying telepractice and its sub-dimensions in the pre- and post-measurement, While there is no statistically significant difference between the average ranks of the experimental group members’ scores in the post-measurement and the follow-up measurement after one and a half months from the end of the program’s implementation on the scale of employing telepractice competencies and its sub-dimensions.
