Abstract

The research aimed to reveal degree of availability of requirements for transformation of higher education institutions in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into sustainable universities in view of the following dimensions: (sustainable leadership, sustainable learning, sustainable research, sustainable partnership, and sustainable campus), and presence of statistically significant differences between averages of responses of research individuals about the degree of availability of those requirements due to two variables: (university they are affiliated with, administrative position).

To achieve objectives, descriptive survey approach was applied and size of the impact of dependent variables on independent ones was measured, and questionnaire was used as a research tool.
The research community consisted of (375) academic leaders affiliated with each of the following Saudi universities: (King Abdelaziz University, King Saud University, Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, Al-Baha University, and Al-Jouf University), and those who occupy the following administrative positions: (Dean of the College, and College vice Dean) .The study sample consisted of (195) academic leaders, including (50) collage deans, and (145) collage vice-deans.
