Abstract

This study aimed to explore the causes of domestic violence and the requirements for reducing it from the perspective of Islamic education. The descriptive method was employed, with a questionnaire used for data collection, applied to a sample of 534 Egyptian families. The results indicated that the social causes of domestic violence from the perspective of Islamic education were of moderate significance, while the cultural and economic causes were found to be high. The participants’ agreement on the requirements to reduce domestic violence from an Islamic educational perspective was also high. Moreover, the findings revealed statistically significant differences in responses based on gender, with females showing higher agreement, and differences based on the duration of marriage, favoring those with longer marriages. Additionally, significant differences were found in responses based on educational level, with those holding postgraduate degrees showing higher agreement.
