Abstract

The research aims to identify the effectiveness of a proposed program based on cognitive flexibility theory to develop positive thinking and information processing skills among philosophy and sociology students at the Faculty of Education, Arish University. To achieve this goal, a proposed program based on cognitive flexibility theory was developed, as well as two measurement tools: the Positive Thinking Scale and the Information Processing Skills Test. The research group consisted of (16) third-year student-teachers from the philosophy and sociology department at Faculty of Education, Arish University. The results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed program based on cognitive flexibility theory in developing positive thinking and information processing skills among philosophy and sociology students at the Faculty of Education, Arish University.
