The role of educational supervision in activating community partnership in Al-Ula Governorate from the point of view of school principals

Abstract

Research objectives: The study aimed to identify the role of educational supervision in activating community partnership between the school and the local community in public education schools in Al-Ula Governorate, verify its importance, identify the most prominent obstacles, and reveal whether there are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) in the average responses of the study sample according to the variables: (academic qualification - years of service - gender - educational stage)
Research methodology: The researcher followed the descriptive survey method in the study, and the study tool was a questionnaire, which was applied to the entire study community, which is all male and female directors of public education schools in Al-Ula Governorate, numbering (68) male and female directors.
Research results: The research reached the following results: The study community in the first axis had an arithmetic mean of (3.65 out of 5.00), and a standard deviation of (734, 0), indicating the (I agree) option in the study tool, and in the second axis their arithmetic mean was (3.43 out of 5.00), and a standard deviation of (879, 0), indicating the (I agree) option, and in the third axis their arithmetic mean was (3.53 out of 5.00), and a standard deviation of (702, 0), indicating the (I agree) option.
Research recommendations: In light of the results reached, the research recommends the following:
- Emphasizing educational supervisors' interest in spreading the culture of community partnership between schools and the local community, and allocating visits to schools dedicated to activating community partnership.
- Urging educational supervisors to attend specialized training courses and events to activate community partnership in accordance with the Kingdom's vision (2030).
- Developing national plans, initiatives and programs by educational supervision to urge local community institutions to activate community partnership.
