A proposed vision for spreading green schools in Egypt in The light of contemporary global trends

Abstract

     The current study aims to present a proposed vision for the dissemination of green schools in Egypt, in light of some contemporary global trends, and the extent to which they can be beneficial in Egypt. The current study also includes five main axes: the first axis: "The general framework of the research; the second axis: "The conceptual framework of green schools, represented in the concept of green schools and their objectives, the criteria that must be met in green schools, the features and characteristics of green schools, the philosophy of green schools, and finally, the evaluation system for green schools, The third axis addresses: "The most important contemporary global trends in promoting green schools, such as: 'environmental design, environmental education programs, effective resource management for sustainability, activities, and environmental projects, and finally the trend towards sustainable community partnerships.'" In light of the diversity of modern trends in promoting green schools in many countries, the fourth axis came: "which addresses the field study and its results," then the fifth axis: "which presents a proposed vision for transforming schools in Egypt into green schools, in light of contemporary global trends." The study concluded that transforming Egyptian schools into green schools requires combining the five Aforementioned trends.
