Abstract

The current research aims to describe green education and its strategies, the green skills that can be included in secondary school geography curricula, and the development of green skills among secondary school students through the proposed concept. In light of the inherent relevance of geography curricula, procedures for incorporating and developing green skills among pre-university students were identified through the following procedures: analyzing the content of geography curricula at pre-university levels in light of the green skills list; developing a concept for enriching the content of secondary school geography curricula with topics related to green skills and environmental issues, conservation, climate change, and sustainability to improve students' green skills; using digital resources, applications, and online platforms to make environmental education accessible to students; preparing a teacher's guide; and employing strategies to improve green skills in geography curricula. Examples of these strategies include: project-based learning, virtual learning, task-based learning, and creative problem-solving strategies.
