The Dominant Learning Styles of Graduate Students at Al-Quds University According to McCarthy's 4MAT Model

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the prevailing learning styles among graduate students at Al-Quds University in Palestine, according to the McCarthy Model (4MAT), and to know the difference in their learning styles according to gender and job title. The researchers used the descriptive approach, and the study population consisted of (23) male and female students, and the study sample consisted of (22) male and female students. The researchers prepared the study tool, which was a questionnaire that included the areas of the four learning styles. The questionnaire consisted of (28) items distributed among the four magazines. The results of the study revealed that the total score of the study sample’s responses to the four areas of the questionnaire was high in all areas. Which indicates that their prevailing educational styles are characterized by positive diversity and respond to their different educational needs. The results of the study also revealed: There are no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α ≤ 0.05) in the arithmetic averages of the learning styles of graduate students at Al-Quds University according to According to the McCarthy model, the variables of gender and job title are attributed to all areas of the questionnaire In light of these results, the study recommended strengthening experimental and applied activities and developing strategies that support analytical thinking, while improving curricula to achieve a balance between theoretical and applied aspects.
