A Proposed Strategy to Apply the Academic Professional License for Faculty Members in Saudi Universities in the Light of Some Regional and International Contemporary Experiences

Abstract

       The study aimed to present a proposed strategy to apply the academic professional license for faculty members in Saudi universities in the light of some regional and international contemporary experiences, and to find out if there are statistically significant differences at (0.05) due to the study variables (university-scientific degree, and faculty). The study used the descriptive method. A questionnaire consisting of (60) items was applied to (574) faculty members. The results of the study showed that the importance level of the license application requirements are of "very important" (4.56) on the five-dimensional Likert scale, and there are statistically significant differences at (0.05) due to the study variables in the first axis for (Tabuk University-associate professor-humanitarian faculties), in the second axis for (King Faisal University-associate professor-health faculties).Finally, The study presented several recommendations, and a proposed strategy to apply the academic professional license for faculty members in Saudi universities in the light of some regional and international contemporary experiences.
